I heard the Messenger of Allah (Sallallahu Alayhi Wasallam) say, ‘Whoever recites Al-Waaqi’ah every night will never become poor.” He said, “What is hurting?” He said, “My sins.” He said, “What do you need?” He said, “The mercy of my Lord.” He said, “Shall we not call the doctor for you?” He said, “The doctor made me ill.” He said, “Shall I order that your regular income be restored to you?” He said, “You did not let me have it before today and I have no need of it now.” He said, ‘Then leave it to your family and dependents.” He said, “I have taught them something which, if they say it, they will never become poor. It was narrated from Shujaa’ from Abi Fatimah that ‘Uthman Ibn ‘Affan (Radi Allahu Anhu) visited Abdullah Ibn Masud (Radi Allahu Anhu) when he was sick.
